The BB3R graduate program aims to prepare doctoral students and junior professors for a subsequent career in the field of life science or science administration and is established under the umbrella of the Dahlem Research School (DRS) of Freie Universität Berlin. DRS is co-financed by the Excellence Initiative of German universities.
The qualification is based on the respective PhD student’s own research project and is complemented by a comprehensive, well-structured training program in the wide field of 3R. Training in related methods in the lab of a research partner is recognized as an elective course. In addition, the PhD students can attend DRS seminars, covering the fields of academic performance, managerial skills, information technology/languages and career development. Furthermore, Freie Universität Berlin offers career support for junior professors.
